Josh Filler Promoted to Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for The Energy Cooperative’s Electric Operations
Josh Filler has been promoted to Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of The Energy Cooperative electric operations, effective immediately. In his new role, Filler will provide leadership and oversee the Cooperative’s electric operations located in Utica, Ohio.
Filler was hired with the Cooperative in February 2014 as an Engineering Manager. Prior to that he worked as a distribution planning engineer for AEP in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He is a licensed professional engineer and earned his MBA and BS in electrical engineering, both while in Indiana. He is currently pursuing a Master of Engineering degree in Power Systems. Josh is also a member of The Energy Cooperative and resides in Mt. Vernon with his wife Amanda and daughter, Madison.
Throughout Filler’s tenure with the Cooperative, he has been actively involved and supported numerous community organizations including Habitat for Humanity, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Licking and Perry Counties, and the Ohio Rural Electric Cooperative Association.
Filler stated “I am honored and excited about this opportunity to lead such a great group for a great Cooperative. I look forward to what lies ahead in our vastly changing industry and growing membership.”
Filler has been an integral part of the Cooperative’s succession planning and has worked hard preparing for this transition. Todd Ware, President and CEO of The Energy Cooperative stated, “I am very excited to have Josh as part of my executive team. His leadership and experience are a true asset to this Cooperative and I look forward to the contributions he will bring to the Cooperative and to my executive team. “
