With inflation at record-high levels, we’ve seen prices increase on the large ticket items we need to bring you safe and reliable energy. We pay at least 50% more for poles, pipe, and meters than we did just four years ago. During this same time period, our distribution rates have only increased by 1%. We’ve reached a point where The Energy Cooperative can no longer absorb the increased costs. As a result, your Cooperative Directors voted on the following rate adjustments.
The following monthly rate adjustments are effective on all bills after January 1, 2024.
- Residential Electric Members: Facilities Fee adjusts from $30 to $34
- Small General Service Electric Members: Facilities Fee adjusts from $35 to $38
- Residential Natural Gas Members: Facilities Fee adjusts from $24 to $26.50
- Small General Service Natural Gas Members: Facilities Fee adjusts from $28 to $30.50
- Medium General Service Natural Gas Members: Facilities Fee adjusts from $55 to $70
