Rebates for Our Electric Members
At this time, we only offer rebates to our electric members. If you are a natural gas or propane member, we suggest you contact your electric provider to inquire about rebate opportunities. Electric members (who meet the requirements below) are eligible for a maximum of two total rebates per calendar year. Rebates are issued as a bill credit on your electric account.

Residential & Commercial Rebates
Residential Rebate: New Dual Fuel Heat Pump Requirements
- $400.00 per unit/ $600.00 for energy star unit
- No restriction on type of backup heat
- Central systems and ductless mini-splits
- Energy Star Minimum Qualification for $600.00 Rebate:
Split System – 15.0 SEER; 8.5 HSPF, Single Package System – 15.00 SEER; 8.2 HSPF
You must provide supporting documentation to qualify for the rebate.
Residential Rebate: New Geothermal Program Requirements
- $800.00 per unit
- No restriction on type of backup heat.
- Must be Energy Star qualified at time of installation
- Closed loop: 17.1 EER, 3.6 COP. Open loop: 21.1 EER; 4.1 COP
You must provide supporting documentation to qualify for the rebate.
Residential Rebate: New Electric Water Heater Program Requirements
- $200.00 per unit
- $250.00 per unit/ with new radio control switch
- $400.00 per unit heat pump water heater. Heat pump water heater must have storage volume of 55 gallons or less.
- Electric storage water heater must be > 90% EF.
- On-demand water heaters are not eligible
Residential Rebate: New Energy Star Appliance Program
Energy Star Refrigerator: $150.00 with recycle of old unit.
- New appliance must be new and Energy Star rated at the time of purchase.
- Refrigerators sized 10-30 cubic feet are eligible.
- Old appliance must be removed from residence to qualify for rebate.
Energy Star Stand-alone Freezer, $150.00 with recycle of old unit.
- Stand alone freezers sized 10-30 cubic feet are eligible.
- New appliance must be new and Energy Star rated at the time of purchase.
- Old appliance must be removed from residence to qualify for rebate.
Energy Star Central Air Conditioning Unit, $150.00
- Central air conditioning unit must be new, energy star rated unit.
- Minimum 16 SEER rating at time of purchase.
- Available for residential members
Required Documentation
The member is required to provide the following to receive the Energy Star rebate:
- Member must provide purchase receipt, showing that the new appliance was installed in a home served by the cooperative.
- Member must provide documentation the appliance is an ENERGY STAR® listing.
- Member provides documentation if the old appliance was removed from the property with intent to recycle.
Residential Rebate: Add radio control switch to existing air conditioning unit
$200.00 rebate per unit
Load control switch installed to cycle your unit during peak alerts, and save energy.
The member is responsible for having the radio control switch installed on the unit. After it is installed, we will come out to inspect. The rebate is issued after the inspection is complete.
Residential Rebate: New Electric Vehicle Charger
- $250.00 per charger/ $1500 max per residence
- Must be level 2 charger
- Max of 2 charger port rebate per residential member home
- Max of 6 charging port rebates per non-residential member building/facility
Residential Rebate: Smart Thermostat
Rebate may not exceed 50% of the thermostat unit cost (excluding tax and installation) with a max rebate of $150.00.
Rebate Requirements
- Units must be new and Energy Star rated at time of purchase and installation.
- Thermostats must be purchased after July 1, 2022 to qualify for rebate.
- Thermostat must be connected to the internet with wi-fi capability.
Residential Rebate: Insulation & Air Sealing Rebate Application
- Insulation rebate is limited to $800.00 or 50% of the total project cost (whichever is lower) of a qualifying upgrade project.
- Air sealing rebate is limited to $400.00 or 50% of the total project cost (whichever is lower) of a qualifying project.
Rebate Requirements
- Projects must be completed between June 1, 2022 and June 30, 2023.
- Applicants must be the home owner.
- Rebate is to retrofit an existing residential home and not applicable for new construction or home additions or expansions.
- Rebate is for exterior house, exterior basement or crawlspace walls, attic insulation or air sealing upgrades only.
- Work must be completed by a licensed contractor.
Documentation Required
- A blower door test is required for air sealing projects. Final test results must achieve < 4,000 CFM50 to be eligible for rebate.
- A duct blast test is required for all duct sealing upgrades. Final test results after duct sealing must achieve < 12CFM25 per 100 sq. feet.
- Applications must include an itemized contractor invoice detailing cost breakout for each area of work.
- The Cooperative reserves the right to inspect member home for installation of materials listed on this application to verify installation.
Custom Commercial Lighting Program
- Program allows for a wide range of energy efficient lighting retrofit upgrades for non-residential member facilities
- Available for LEDs in new construction or facility additions
- Not applicable for installation of additional lighting
- Rebate is based on total amp watts saved.
- Requires visit from cooperative to confirm installation
- Rebate requires quantity, watts and type of lamps removed and installed
Commercial Energy Audit Program
- Energy audit performed and energy efficiency recommendations implemented
- Requires visit from cooperative to confirm installation
Commercial Improvements Program
- Program to allow the purchase and installation of nine specific types of energy efficient equipment for non-residential member facilities.
