The Energy Cooperative Directors Achieve Credential in Today's Utility Competencies

Brad Patton, Wayne Zollars and Roy Van Atta from The Energy Cooperative Board of Directors recently received their Credentialed Cooperative Director Certification. This accomplishment is a board leadership certificate from the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA) that includes numerous hours of training surrounding five core courses.

In an ever-changing business environment with new demands on electric cooperative directors, increased knowledge of changes in the electric utility business is a must. New governance skills and a solid knowledge of cooperative principles and business models are essential to maintaining a strong cooperative. Ohio cooperatives are committed to working through Ohio's Electric Cooperatives (OEC) and NRECA to sharpen this body of knowledge for the benefit of their cooperative members.

Brad, Wayne and Roy’s achievement is a testament to their dedication. The Energy Cooperative is grateful for their efforts and leadership on our Board of Directors.
