Investing in Licking County

The Licking County Pipeline represents an estimated $130 million investment in local energy infrastructure. This project is designed to support a new data center and electric generation facility. It will also bring additional natural gas into our area, strengthening our entire system.

During construction, we expect the project to support approximately 250 jobs, including construction workers, professional services and suppliers.

By delivering natural gas to a behind-the-meter generation facility serving an off-grid data center, the Licking County Pipeline will:

Support major new private investment in the county
Reduce pressure on the regional electric grid by providing dedicated local generation
Bring additional natural gas supply to the area, strengthening our distribution system.

We believe this kind of carefully planned infrastructure can provide long-term benefits to our members and the communities we serve.

The Energy Cooperative was built by members in 1936 to bring safe, reliable energy to areas other utilities would not. Today, many of our employees often live in the communities we serve.
