To construct and operate the Licking County Pipeline, we will need easements across certain properties. There are two primary types of easements:

Permanent Easement – Grants the right to construct, operate, and maintain the buried pipeline and related facilities within a defined corridor.
Temporary Construction Easement – Provides additional space during construction for equipment, materials and safe work areas.

In many cases, landowners will be able to continue using the surface of the permanent easement for farming, grazing and other compatible uses. Certain activities, such as building permanent structures directly over the pipeline, are not permitted for safety reasons.

Specific terms, including compensation and permitted land use, will be outlined in individual easement agreements.

If your property is along the proposed route and you grant an easement:

You will receive advance notice before construction activities begin.
Work crews will clear vegetation, excavate, install the pipe, backfill, grade and restore the right-of-way.
We will work to restore topsoil, repair drainage features where affected, and reseed disturbed areas as appropriate.
Once construction is complete and the area is stabilized, only low-profile markers and above-ground facilities (where required) will be visible.

Our goal is to leave your property in a condition that is as close as reasonably possible to its original state, consistent with safety and regulatory requirements.
